RotiJet — Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 14 August 2026
These terms apply when you use the RotiJet app or rotijet.com. By placing an order you accept
them. Please read them — they explain exactly what we do and, just as importantly, what we do not
promise.
1. Who we are
RotiJet is a food-ordering and delivery service published by The Soft Mechanic,
operating in Barbigha, Bihar 811101.
2. What RotiJet is
RotiJet is a marketplace. The kitchens and restaurants on RotiJet are independent
businesses. They set their own dishes, prices, photos, availability, opening hours,
minimum order value and delivery fee. We show you their live information and arrange delivery — we
do not cook the food.
Food quality, quantity, packaging, hygiene and the accuracy of a dish description are the
responsibility of the kitchen that prepares it.
3. Your account
- You can browse the menu without an account. To place an order you must sign in with a Google
account or with your mobile number and OTP. There is no password.
- If you sign in with both Google and your mobile number, and one of them is already verified on
an existing RotiJet account, both will lead to that same account and its order history.
- You confirm you are at least 18 years old. We do not verify age; this is your own
declaration.
- Keep your phone number and delivery address accurate. Orders are delivered to the address and
phone number you provide.
4. Ordering and prices
- Your bill is items + delivery fee − coupon discount. We add no taxes, packing
charge, service fee, surge pricing or tip.
- Delivery fee is ₹25 per kitchen, waived when that kitchen's items total
₹199 or more — unless that kitchen has set its own fee or threshold, which is
shown to you before you pay.
- A kitchen may set a minimum order value. If it is not met, the order is not placed and nothing
is charged.
- One cart may hold items from several kitchens. It is then split into one order per
kitchen — each with its own delivery, its own delivery fee and its own minimum order.
They are prepared and delivered separately and may arrive at different times.
- The only coupon codes that work are WELCOME (₹30 off on ₹99+),
ROTI10 (10% off, up to ₹50) and FREEDEL (delivery fee
waived). WELCOME and ROTI10 apply only when the whole cart is from a single kitchen.
- A closed kitchen's dishes cannot be added to your cart. If a kitchen is closed when your order
reaches us, the order is cancelled automatically and you are not charged.
- The price confirmed at checkout is the price that applies.
5. Payment
- You can pay by Cash on Delivery or online — UPI, cards,
net-banking and wallets — processed by PayU. Some kitchens may not offer Cash
on Delivery.
- Card, UPI, CVV, PIN and bank details are entered with PayU. RotiJet never collects or
stores them. For an online payment we pass PayU the order amount and your delivery
contact number.
- For online orders the amount charged is calculated by our server from the kitchen's live menu,
not by your phone. If the two totals differ even slightly, the payment page will not open.
- An online order is created in a payment-pending state and becomes a real order
only after PayU confirms the payment.
- If the payment fails or you cancel it, the order is cancelled automatically and no money is
captured. If you leave the payment page without paying, the order is cancelled on its own —
usually within 30 minutes, and in every case within 3 hours.
- For Cash on Delivery, the rider collects exactly the order total shown to you, in cash.
6. Delivery
- We deliver only within Barbigha, PIN 811101.
- Deliveries begin on 15 August 2026. Orders can be placed before then.
- Delivery is carried out by Jetray delivery partners, not by the restaurant.
There is no self-pickup.
- A rider is assigned only after the kitchen accepts your order and marks it out for
delivery.
- Your delivery name, phone number, address and drop location are shared with the kitchen and
the delivery partner so your order can be delivered.
Delivery times are estimates, not promises. Any time shown in the app or on the
website is an estimate only. Cooking time, kitchen load, weather and traffic all affect it, and we
do not guarantee any delivery time.
7. Cancelling an order
- You can cancel from rotijet.com while the order is still at the
Placed stage — that is, before the kitchen accepts it. The Android app does not
currently have a cancel button; to cancel, use the website or contact us.
- Once a kitchen has accepted your order and started cooking, cancellation is at that kitchen's
discretion. Food already prepared cannot be refunded.
- A kitchen may decline your order — for example if an item has run out or the kitchen has
closed. You are told, and you are not charged for a declined order.
- If a kitchen does not accept your order within 48 hours, it is cancelled automatically.
- In a multi-kitchen order each part is independent. One kitchen declining does not cancel the
others, and only that part's amount is refunded.
8. Refunds
- Where you have paid online and the order is cancelled or cannot be fulfilled, we will arrange a
refund of that amount.
- Refunds are handled by our team, not automatically by the payment gateway. We
will contact you and pay the refund by UPI or bank transfer to the number or
account you confirm with us.
- Cash on Delivery orders are not paid for until delivery, so a cancelled COD order needs no
refund.
- If an item is missing, wrong or spoiled, contact us with your order details as soon as
possible and we will look into it with the kitchen.
9. If delivery cannot be completed
If the rider reaches your address and you are not reachable, or you refuse to accept or pay for a
Cash on Delivery order, that order will be cancelled. We do not charge you for it. However, if this
happens repeatedly, we may stop offering Cash on Delivery to your account and ask
you to pay online instead.
10. Using RotiJet fairly
We may refuse service, cancel an order, or suspend an account if we see fake or repeatedly
refused orders, abuse of our riders or kitchen staff, or misuse of the app. Kitchens must not list
items they are not permitted to sell; we may remove such items or cancel such orders.
11. Your information
How we collect and use your information is explained in our
Privacy Policy. In short: we keep your name,
contact details, saved addresses, profile photo and order history to run the service, and we share
your delivery details with the kitchen and the delivery partner for that order.
You can delete your account from Profile → Delete Account. Past orders are kept
as business and accounting records even after deletion; they include the delivery name, phone and
address given with that order.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as RotiJet changes. The current version is always the one shown in the
app and on rotijet.com, with the date at the top.
13. Contact us
Questions, complaints or refund requests — please reach us. We are a small local team and we do
not run a 24×7 support desk, but we do reply.
